The Vapor Zeus has been on the market for a while now, and until recently, I have not had a chance to give one a thorough vaping. Offered in two configurations, an automatic battery, and a dual mode battery which allows the user to switch between automatic and manual mode.
The Vapor Zeus Dual Mode E-Cigarette battery is the first and only electronic cigarette ever to offer an automatic mode and manual mode in one e-cigarette device. Just simply press the button five times to change between the two modes.
Both automatic and dual mode batteries are offered in three sizes, 650 mAh, 900 mAh, and 1300 mAh.
This device operates at 5.0 volts, and utilizes an 808 connection to a proprietary cartomizer named the “Smileomizer”. Offered in two sizes, the Smileomizer holds approximately 3.5 or 6.0 ml of e-liquid.
This particular e-cigarette has the familiar soft touch covering that is reminiscent of the eGo’s, and Janty’s. Configured with a USB pass-through, the Zeus effectively adds another level of convenience, and is offered in various colors.
I received the dual mode kit in black, outfitted with a 900 mAh battery along with the 3.5 ml Smileomizers (small).
Battery and Smileomizer Connections
KR808D threading is used.
Smileomizer and Tip Connections
The Smileomizer connects to a rubber enclosed tip. More on this later.
The V4L text on the button lights green when using. Five quick presses will change mode from automatic, to manual, and back again.
Pass-through on the Zeus is located at the end of the battery. A light is visible when charging. Red for low, green for good to go.
What I think of the Vapor Zeus
I have to be honest, I was skeptical at first. It sounded almost too good to be true. All day vaping at 5.0 volts, with a cartomizer (Smileomizer) that holds 3.5 ml of e-juice, in a slim package? Where was this when I first started vaping?
The first think I did, was ensure the battery was at full charge. After approximately 10 minutes the green indication light was on, signaling it was good to go. Checking the voltage, my reading was 5.02.
I then turned my attention to the Smileomizers. My trusty multimeter measured 2.5, 2.6, and 2.5 Ohms. I also measured out 3.5 ml of e-liquid, and began to fill. Upon emptying my syringe, I let the cart sit for a while. A little drip-page later…and I was ready.
So Far So Good
Back to the two piece tip…in the beginning, I really didn’t think I would like it. The rubber cover seemed large, well…it is when I compare it to anything else I’ve used. It also seemed to act as a dust magnet. Not a problem, as long as I didn’t set it down on cloth, or fabric.
It didn’t take long for me to get accustomed to the rubber tip. After some use, I began to take to the rubber tip, as it is rather comfortable during vaping.
Although, if Vapor4Life ever decides to make available additional styles, I would jump on it, as I am used to my pawn and mings that sit regularly on my tanks. I actually think this would be a wise move on their side.
Back to Vaping.
Have I said this thing vapes like a train? It does! Vapor volume was awesome…taste was fantastic…and throat hit felt just right. I vaped this for almost a week straight, and love it.
I tried to snap a few pictures to show the vape, unfortunately…or fortunately, it proved difficult. Most pictures came out completely washed out from the vapor cloud.
Size…does it matter?
This is a long, yet slender e-cigarette. It feels very comfortable to handle, and the button felt like it’s placed in just the right position. For some strange reason, when I first began to vape the Zeus, I would stand it up, much like I do with larger PV Mods. It took me a while, before I was comfortable just laying it down on its side.
All Day Vape
As I made this my dedicated vaping device, my battery lasted on average nine (9) hours before fully discharged. NINE hours! When it goes, though, it goes. There is no warning, one second you have an awesome hit, the next…nothing.
From the first to the last vape, there is no perceptive difference in voltage drain.
In a fully discharged state, charging back to full took approximately 3 hours. Pretty good, plus you have the added benefit of vaping while it’s charging through USB.
I must admit, I had to go to a lower nicotine strength e-liquid while vaping the Zeus. At 5.0 volts, it was hitting hard, and good.
- Battery Life – Good for a true all day vape.
- Smileomizer – Awesome cartomizer, loved the taste and fill capacity.
- Vapor Production – Produced more than enough…loved it.
- USB Pass-through – Convenient for vaping while charging.
- Dual Mode – The Zeus can be vaped automatically or manually.
- Size – Though the Vapor Zeus is long, its slender build makes it for a comfortable and unobtrusive device.
- Convenience – Give it a full charge, fill your Smileomizer, and take it with you anywhere for a day’s worth of enjoyment.
- Vapor Production – Oh…did I already say that?
- This device wasn’t available when I first switched to e-cigarettes.
